The past month has been a roller coaster ride, with crazy amount of travel and absolutely no breather in between, which is why, the long silence on the blog! But the good part is, I am back and have tons to update the blog with!
Last month, I collaborated with designer label Dimple & Amrin for this shoot. What you see in the picture is a delicate lace dress that can be worn as a party as well as a casual dress. Light and pretty, it is just perfect for occassions when you want to play peek-a-boo. What I loved about the dress, was it’s tiny details and it’s soft and smooth fabric.
If you’ve been following my blog for long enough you’d know, I love the grungy-glam look, therefore no surprise that I styled the dress with minimal makeup and wavy hair, with boots used as the only accessories.
Let me know your thoughts on the styling? Did you like it?
We all love weekends, in fact, some of us just live for them! Take me, for instance, I love weekends for many reasons, not only those two days are my cheat days, when, I treat myself to some delicious food and drinks, but also because I look forward to dressing up for my weekend evenings with friends.
Last weekend, I threw in this beautiful hot pink, backless, dress from Forever 21 with a pair of nude heels, which I bought from Bougis Market in Singapore. To add a dash of glam, I added a chunky ring from Aldo Accessories. Blow dried my hair, winged my liner, applied a Rose Shine lip gloss from Lakme Absolute and just like that, I was all set and ready to party within 15 minutes!
What are your quick and quirky, go-to party looks? Share with me in the comments. If you’d like to pull me some specific look for you, let me about that as well!
So received these goodies from Pretty Secrets a few days back, and have been wearing this pretty neon thing to the gym every day. Excellent fit and great fabric, this definitely worth buying for anyone who is looking to invest in gym gear!
Have you also tried one of these? If yes, what was your favorite thing about it?
P.S – Thank You Pretty Secrets for sending this box of goodies my way! 🙂
Spring 2015 is upon us and its the season of bloom and flowers again. I always love the sweet beginning of any season and needless to say spring and autumn are mt favorite seasons. So this morning I received a mail from Steve Maddens comprising their S/S’15 collection and I couldn’t help but write about it, because really I just loved it that much. I love peaches, and pastels for spring and luckily for us those are all available in Steve Maddens’ this collection!
While I am too broke right now to go and buy all these shoes, I am going to settle for just writing about these and burning with envy, but some of you rich ladies may want to go and buy these! And if you do then I’ve got only one thing to say, ‘Good for ya ladies! Good for ya!’ Hmph. :p
As a Stylist, nothing makes you more happy than a beautiful project where you get complete liberty to experiment with your creativity. Thanks to the owners of the Chocolate brand, and the photographer, this project is that one project where I got to do whatever I wanted to in terms of aesthetics and styling.
Besides, all my PR friends at Calvin Klien, FCUK, SBL, and ToniQ, made this project a reality, without whose help it wouldn’t have culminated into anything.
So here’s how it came out! Let me know, what you think of it? 🙂
I am visiting home these days. Whenever I come home, I am always curious with any additions that mother might have made in her jewelry, shoes, accessories or sari collection. This time too I did the same, there weren’t any new additions but I wasn’t disappointed because something old caught my eye and the purpose was fulfilled anyway. Now there is a reason why I always steal a peek into my mother’s closet. Its because not only is she fashionable but she also has that intrinsic sense of style that has influenced me in a profound way. As you know, this blog is all about being fashionable without spending too much. Therefore, my first post is based on the inspiration I got looking at a simple gold chain from my mother’s jewelry collection. The chain is vintage and belonged to my grandmother, which was later passed on to my mother. While she was sorting her jewelry, it caught my eye, I tried the chain on, to my disappointment, it looked really boring and I hated the fact, that it was neither short nor long enough to be worn, but I couldn’t help but notice that was a beautiful piece and which was made with ancient techniques of gold karigaari and that’s when I decided to style it my way!
You don’t need a penny for this, just raid your mum’s closet and borrow her chain to style it in any of the mentioned ways! In case you do like the post do not forget to mention your suggestion/feedback.
