Bangalore is a busy city, where you struggle with traffic, population, pollution and barely manage to get through each day. As a principle, I always take a break whenever it becomes too hectic, last month when Bangalore city started to take its toll on me, I slyly sneaked an escapade to a beautiful place called, Pondicherry.

I went to Pondicherry on a weekend and at stayed at one of the most beautiful resorts – Dune Ecovillage & Spa. Imagine a place, where you are all alone, with no one to disturb you, and you get to stay in the lap of nature quite literally! Where you can actually hear the sea waves crashing at the shore, in your room, where you are actually able to cut off from the whole world and spend your time in peace. Like me, if you like to just take a break from life and chill, then Dune Ecovillage & Spa is the place for you. It has its own private beach, where you can run miles, or just lie sunbathing at the shore. Be it their pool, or their private villas I just fell in love with the place!

After lazying around for a day at the resort, I finally went out to explore the town on the second day, and as expected, it was truly some experience! Even though a U.T and full of beaches, Pondi is nothing like Goa, where you see pubs lined up at every nook and corner. We explored quite a bit on our cute little scooter, (which we rented from the Merchant street at 1100/- for two days) before we discovered some of the most beautiful spots where you can go, grab a drink and just chill. One of such places is Le Club, this tiny little place, done up with pretty little, lights, will definitely remind you of Goa, and the legacy that Portuguese have left behind in terms of art and infrastructure. When here, don’t forget to treat yourself to a nice glass of wine, and some pizza, before go out exploring the town again. In the evening, it might be a good idea to explore other pubs like  Toxic and L’Aqua.

Last but not the least, do not forget to spend some time taking a quiet stroll by the Paradise beach. Beautiful and tranquil, you’ll fall in love with the beauty of the place!

The past month has been a roller coaster ride, with crazy amount of travel and absolutely no breather in between, which is why, the long silence on the blog! But the good part is, I am back and have tons to update the blog with!

Last month, I collaborated with designer label Dimple & Amrin for this shoot. What you see in the picture is a delicate lace dress that can be worn as a party as well as a casual dress. Light and pretty, it is just perfect for occassions when you want to play peek-a-boo. What I loved about the dress, was it’s tiny details and it’s soft and smooth fabric.

If you’ve been following my blog for long enough you’d know, I love the grungy-glam look, therefore no surprise that I styled the dress with minimal makeup and wavy hair, with  boots used as the only accessories.

Let me know your thoughts on the styling? Did you like it?

We all love weekends, in fact, some of us just live for them! Take me, for instance, I love weekends for many reasons, not only those two days are my cheat days, when, I treat myself to some delicious food and drinks, but also because I look forward to dressing up for my weekend evenings with friends.

Last weekend, I threw in this beautiful hot pink, backless, dress from Forever 21 with a pair of nude heels, which I bought from Bougis Market in Singapore. To add a dash of glam, I added a chunky ring from Aldo Accessories. Blow dried my hair, winged my liner, applied a Rose Shine lip gloss from Lakme Absolute and just like that, I was all set and ready to party within 15 minutes!

What are your quick and quirky, go-to party looks? Share with me in the comments. If you’d like to pull me some specific look for you, let me about that as well!

Anupama Dayal’s new store launch at Khan Market, Delhi

Some coolers, some wine and a great place to hang out maybe and you are set for a great evening! Anupama‘s new store launch was something similar which pretty much made our evening. The Wardrobe of a Nomad, was invited to the launch of designer Anupama Dayal‘s new store in Khan Market, Delhi.

It was not just the coolers at the launch that brought the relief from the heat, the collection at the store was no less than a breath of fresh air either. Anupama, who is known for her colorful quirky designs, this time around has brought the old Delhi’s Mughal vibe alive in the label’s signature color palette, the store echoes the brand’s ‘raison d’etre’ – revival of the ancient, almost forgotten hand printing techniques of India.

Need something to do over the weekend? I say make your way to Anupama’s store for some great shopping and that should make your evening!

I always love the sweet beginning of any season and needless to say spring and autumn are mt favorite seasons. So this morning I received a mail from Steve Maddens comprising their S/S’15 collection and I couldn’t help but write about it, because really I just loved it that much. I love peaches, and pastels for spring and luckily for us those are all available in Steve Maddens’ this collection!

While I am too broke right now to go and buy all these shoes, I am going to settle for just writing about these and burning with envy, but some of you rich ladies may want to go and buy these! And if you do then I’ve got only one thing to say, ‘Good for ya ladies! Good for ya!’ Hmph. :p

Comic Con India – In Bangalore this time!

Before the internet boom happened, and before the kids got tech-savvy with their high end gadgets, it was the world of comics and cartoons that entertained the children and adults alike. Surprisingly West, which is far more advanced than us in the technology aspect, has managed to stay crazy about comics and the fun of it. So much so that they have an entire event dedicated to it called the Comic Con. Now you’ve got to be living under caves if you’ve not heard of the event before! Because anyone who has ever watched The Big Bang Theory knows how much the event can be. Besides, in U.S the event happens on such a large scale that sometimes the entire cast of popular sitcoms like The Big Bang Theory, How I met your mother, turn up and oblige the fans with premier of their new season etc. So is it just the American thing? No! Here’s the good news, we are having an Indian version of Comic Con in Bangalore this time! And to top it all, Daniel Portman of The Game of Thrones would be there too to give you company!

So I have just gotten an invite for it and as you might have guessed, I am jumping with joy! Could it get any better than that? I don’t think so! I say save the date, April 3-5’15 fellas!

I am going to be there, will you be?
