Dressing up for Indian Weddings!

India, as we know is known for its culture, heritage and its larger than life ‘big-fat-Indian weddings‘. So if you are an Indian you know what I am talking about, and if you are not then this post will give you a fair idea about what I mean.

Currently the wedding season is at peak in India, as a result of which I get at least about one or two  invites every week. Now, I am no Kate Middleton and I do not have unlimited supply of clothes, but yet you’ll never find me repeating the same ensemble ever! Yes its true! You don’t even have to be a stylist to know this, I guess anyone who has little aesthetic sense, and common sense can apply at weddings of any ethnicity, then be it Indian or Italian, the same formula can be applied anywhere.

So in the picture you can see, I have paired my mint green saree with a silver backless blouse. Now, even though I happen to love every ensemble in solids, this one happens to be well planned out one. I make it a point to invest in separates in solid colors that can be worn with just about everything. That ways you can mix and match them every time, and with different makeup and hairdos its a new look each time.  This applies not just to saree and blouse but even accessories too. The Forever21 clutch (in the picture) is one of my favorites, as it goes very well with just about everything that is plain. The floral print complements the solids and give you a more symmetric and flattering look.
